PORTFOLIO: RESIDENTIAL
Chanlyut Center
Anchorage, Alaska
This tenant improvement of a Mountain View building serves as a 2-year residential, vocational and educational center, offering new beginnings to men who are facing the serious challenges of addictions, homelessness, and/or reentering society after incarceration.
Chanlyut’s success is dependent upon the residents investing in and taking ownership of improving their home and contributing to their community as they improve their lives. Understanding this, RIM First People worked with the Center’s director to develop a design that is worthy of the flagship building and lends itself to the resident’s participation in all aspects of renovation and construction.
